SouthPark Holiday Hop

I was selected to be one of 16 artists to design a holiday window for Charlotte small businesses in the SouthPark area for their Inaugural Holiday Hop event. Working with Bedside Manner I created a minimal winter design with pine sprigs and ornaments. I enjoyed this project more than I anticipated and was thrilled with the outcome. More important than how I felt, the client was overjoyed at the design and install.

Shout CLT 2023

What a project, I was selected as one of 10 artist to design and !con for Shout CLT, a 10 day art festival in Uptown Charlotte. I stepped away from painting to try something totally new. And when I say new—I mean I have never cut mirror, used a grinder nor adhered mirror to a hard foam surface. I did not even know what that was, until I got the !con. I used recycled mirror to design this !con, complete with a crown, the state of NC, a football and 704 (our area code). The inspiration for the design was from the Firebird sculpture by Niki de Saint Phalle, that sits outside the Bechtler Museum. The sculpture is more commonly known as the Disco Chicken.

Public Art

Town of Mooresville Public Library West Branch

Working with library staff I created this artwork that reflects the natural lakeside environment featuring, birds, frogs and a turtle. This is a vinyl mural that was attached to a 16’ x 13’ wall. At the base of the wall there will be interactive elements for children to play with.

Andrews’ House

This is the first mural completed for 2024. Located a few minutes off the Blue Ridge Parkway at a short term rental property this mural was a joy to design and paint. Working with the client to find the right design and colors was an easy process because I took the time to listen to their needs. Overcoming the weather this mural was completed quickly and in perfect time for Spring rentals.
